Alyssa has dedicated herself to capturing and sharing impactful stories, tackling sometimes tragic subjects with the aim of shedding light and inspiring positive change in viewers. She remains committed to continuing this work within the Arizona community.

Cry Now, Smile Later is an artistic experimental short film that explores themes of loneliness, sadness, and the power of small moments of joy. Despite the lack of a traditional storyline, this short uses powerful visuals to capture evocative imagery.
Palmdale
Alyssa Lynae Barreda Wrote and Directed Palmdale. Palmdale is an Arizona State University senior capstone film; created in 2019 and completed in 2021. Palmdale won the marvista Strives to inclusivity award.
